SCHOOL INITIATORY PROGRAMME 2017-2019
As part of our B.ED curriculum we had a school visit for five days.The teachers gave a list of school and we choose A.K.M.H.S.S Mylapure . We were focused to students of standard V111 AND 1X.We were four students from English option.A school is an institute designed for teaching students under the direction of teachers.School is a social institution because the aim of school is to educate pupil. The school is a small society in which pupils from different part of the society grouped under a single discipline to develop their abilities character,knowledge,qualities etc.From this school visit,we observed the working of a school.We could understand how the school manages the students,teachers and other skills,we also enquired about the facilities provided by the school.
ABOUT THE SCHOOL
Abdulla Kunju Memorial Higher Secondary School was established in 1979. The founder of the school is Haji .A.Younus kunju.Ex.MLA.He started it in the loving memory of his father,the famous industrialist in Kollam and he is the manager of the school.He had many educational trusts.
This school was inaugurated by Sri.C. H Muhammad Kota( The minister of education in 1979) The first Head Master was Mr Barathan.The school got his service till1999. The higher secondary section was established on 2000.There are four streams in the school,with 651 students.Mrs Jayasree Amma is the present Headmistress,around 50 teachers and one non _ teaching staffs worked in the school.Inside the school compound the Fathima Memorial Training College is placed.

DAY 1
It was the first day of our teaching practice.For the school visit we selected A K M H S S,Mylapure.We were four from English Optional.
Deepika, Vishnu Priya,Saritha and I reached the school at 9 am .We waited for the prayer.The school prayer started at 9.30 am .Then we signed the school register and then we met the principal.She asked us to take classes for eighth standard with great pleasure we accepted the request.It was a good opportunity for us to interact with the students.Thus we collected the time table.I had first period in V111 C.

It was the second day of our school visit. I reached the school by 9.00am. After the prayer i had third period in V111 C. I took the lesson"The school for sympathy".Then I went to observe Vishnu Priya's class in the seventh period I felt that she could have planned the lesson properly.

It was the third day of school visit I had class in the second period in eighth C, students were very active in the class. Then I went to observe Deepika's class in 1X A.We left by 3.30 pm.
DAY 4
I reached the school at 9.00 am.I took the lesson Newton's Law in 1X A. Students actively listened to the class. My miss came to observe my class. Then I went to observe Vishnu Priya's class in V111 C. It was good. Then I went to observe Deepika's class in V111 D . she did a good job. We left by 3.30 pm.

I reached the school by 9.00am.It was the last and final day of our teaching practice.I completed my portions and dictated notes in 1X A.Then we distributed sweets for the children. It was a wonderful experience for us.We could know the school and the students.Thus we left by 3.30 pm.
